When I was eight, I taught myself how to draw chibis — those big-eyed, tiny-bodied anime characters — and never really stopped making things after that.
In middle school, I was designing my classmates’ grad dresses and in high school, I was filming and editing music videos.
My first encounter with design and technology started in the 10th grade when I became absolutely obsessed with Tumblr. I was tired of the basic templates and started configuring some basic code to oomph my blog.
I actually always thought I’d be an architect. That became urban planning. But after a few years of writing policies and zoning reports, I realized I craved more colour, more people, more problem-solving. I found a UX degree in Switzerland and was able to combine my love for travel and adventure while learning something that aligned more with my goals.
